2018 was an awesome year:
- Our CEO Mike Wilson was appointed the new Self Storage Association Chair
- SureStore Director Paul Whittaker continued to nurture future industry leaders when he was appointed a Self Storage Association Ambassador (SSA UK Young Leaders
- We opened the doors to three 4th Generation self storage facilities in Bolton, Northwich and Cannock
- We partnered with Fat Media and SiteLink to launch an innovative website allowing customers to book self storage space online
- We secured significant investment from Seneca Partners to expand our offer throughout the North West and Midlands
- We paid thanks to First World War women as part of the SSA UK’s collaboration with The Royal British Legion
- We gave back to the local community by taking part in Backup North West’s Annual Charity Sleep Out (helping to raise £13,000 in a single night), hosting The Great War Art Exhibitionassisting with BBC DIY SOS and becoming a Patron of Bolton Lads and Girls Club among other initiatives
- We secured more sites in Bury, Lichfield, Wigan, Manchester (Old Trafford) and Burton-on-Trent
- We teamed up with Progeny PR to manage our communications and press coverage
A pretty tough year to beat? Well, thanks to our fantastic team, 2019 is already promising to be our best year yet! Not only are our new sites in Bury and Lichfield under way, but we’ve been shortlisted for not one, not two, but three out of the twelve North West Business Masters Awards 2019. These awards, launched by TheBusinessDesk.com, celebrate the achievements of leading businesses throughout the region.
SureStore has been shortlisted for awards in the following three categories:

- Newcomer
- Small business
We are up against some really stiff competition from some outstanding companies throughout the North West. No matter the result, achieving this recognition in just 9 months of trading is an achievement in itself. We would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who has helped propel us forward in such a short space of time.
