With AWS going down, it started off a nightmare. I couldn’t get through to anybody as the phones are seemingly managed by Twilio which is AWS. To make things worse, I had an important doctors appointment to get to so I was already stressed out the wazoo. I finally found a hardline number to call and got through to, I think it was, Kris, the store manager. I explained my situation and he told me to come down and we would get things sorted ASAP. When I arrived, I was greeted warmly by the person I spoke to on the phone and we sorted out the lease in which, I assume, record time due to my upcoming appointment. He showed me how to work the lock, gave me a quick tour, showed me my storage unit, and then sent me on my way. I took my things to the unit, and in the stress of my situation, was struggling with the lock. I rushed back down to reception and explained that I really needed to go to my appointment as I was late. Continuing the kindness, he waved me on my way and took my things up for me and allowed me to collect the key later on. I came back after my appointment in which he greeted me again, assured me it happens regularly, and showed me how to work the mechanism again before handing me my key. I’ve done customer service work in the past and like to think it’s something I’m good at, but the level of attentiveness, understanding, and kindness far surpassed my capability. He truly is an asset to your team.
