At SureStore, the well-being of our self-storage customers and our team of storage experts has always been our top priority, and we are here to support you.
Although we are not actively encouraging the use of our self-storage units to domestic customers due to the on-going pandemic, the UK Government have stated that the self-storage industry will continue operations to assist those who require self-storage within our local communities. This includes essential workers, charities and domestic customers facing unavoidable situations.
Our Remote Operations process has proven that SureStore customers can move into their self-storage units safely and with ease, while observing social distancing and health & safety guidelines, even during a tight lockdown.
At SureStore, we have always been proud of our purpose-built, innovative and hi-spec self-storage facilities. In the current climate, we are both delighted and relieved to be able to offer our customers a secure, safe and responsible way of moving items into our facility and navigating our security systems, without the need for breaching any social distancing guidelines or indeed, the requirement to meet or deal with anyone face-to-face at any stage in the process.
SureStore self-storage is here to support you during these unprecedented times.
Here’s how our SureStore remote self-storage operations process works from start to finish:
Online Booking Systems
Our SureStore customers have always been able to select and reserve spaces, e-sign self-storage agreements, and manage their account in full using our online portal. Now more than ever, we find this is being utilised by customers who are also able to upload ID, select insurance and even ‘click & collect’ boxes and packing materials using this online process.
Unique Access Codes
Once signed up online, our customers set up their unique access code to gain entry through the automated gate and into our secure loading area. This code also operates the intruder alarm, which protects every individual unit in SureStore. Only you can access your unit.
CCTV Surveillance & Tannoy Systems
Every door and every corridor in every SureStore self-storage facility is monitored 24/7 by our CCTV and tannoy service. Using portable devices and the latest facility management systems, our helpful team can guide you through the process of gaining entry to the facility and all the way to the door of your storage unit.
Easy Access both in & out of the Self-Storage Facility
You will find your lock & key waiting for you in the unit, along with any boxes or packing materials you pre-order, and trolleys and trucks to help you load your items into the storage space will be waiting for you in our loading bay. Once you have locked your door and reset your alarm, exiting is just as easy, and you can feel free to come and go as you please from that point forward.
Handwashing Facilities & a Rigorous Cleaning Schedule
Before you leave, please use our modern and clean facilities to wash your hands.
We maintain a strict cleaning and disinfectant schedule to ensure every surface, door handle, call button, keypad and call point is cleaned several times a day to reduce the risk of spreading the coronavirus and ensuring the safety of our customers and employees.
Help & Support from our Experienced SureStore Team
We continue to operate within our standard access hours across all of our self-storage facilities, and we continually review our approach to staffing the receptions across our stores as government guidelines evolve to ensure that we are safe, compliant and protecting our staff and customers at all times. Social distancing has become the norm for many of us in the UK and we manage our reception and common areas closely to ensure our customers and staff can make full use of our facilities while remaining confident that we are adhering to all the latest advice and regulations.
However, to answer any queries regarding our self-storage services during these unprecedented times, a member of our friendly team will also be available to contact by telephone. With SureStore, sensibly observing social distancing guidelines does not need to get in the way of the essential or unavoidable parts of your life.
We continue to follow the advice from SSA UK & Europe, the ‘Self Storage Association’ regarding our remote operations process and how the self-storage industry is adapting to the on-going coronavirus situation.
If you require self-storage during these uncertain times, take a look at our online storage unit size guide to find the right home or business storage solution for you. Our affordable units range in size from 10sqft to 200sqft, and our flexible managed storage plans still apply.
Each storage unit benefits from CCTV surveillance and individual intruder alarms so you can have peace of mind that your possessions are safe and secure.
